This blog is the continuation of what I started with "Destination Tevis: 2013." Our failure to complete Tevis was a bit of a blow, but, well, I have no one to blame but myself for that one, and pulls are common enough. We learned much and we will be back.
Of course much has happened since I concluded the previous blog. Hoss and I went on to complete rides at Grand Canyon and Bryce Canyon, and crossed 3,000 lifetime miles during the year. We are also one of two teams to have earned the XP Gold Award for 2013, accumulating more than 1,000 miles on the XP trails.
At the same time of all these doings, my right hip, damaged in a riding accident when I was 12 and sent over the edge by a fall at Moab in 2011, was deteriorating rapidly. I struggled mightily with it before finally finding relief in a hip replacement I underwent on November 13.
So, as the title suggests, The Adventure Continues! I have much to catch up on, and the future will surely be entertaining.
Thumbs up to you for even attempting Tevis! I'm in awe. And of course the fact that you're on a Legend only makes life better!
